Staying in a larger area, there
seems like there are always lots of things to do.
Today, there was a model railroad
show, a model airplane show, and of course the usual garage sales and flea
markets.
Today, we had decided to got to the
Model Airplane show. They have their own
little runway off Hwy 95 at mile marker 35.
The show started at 10am, so we had a quick breakfast and then off to
pick up Herb. The weather cooperated
nicely in the morning, very little wind and clear, it was not that hot either.
The owners of the aircraft put on a
very good show, with one unfortunate landing, with an older airplane like the
Red Baron or Snoopy flew in. The variety
was great, gas engines – 2 stroke and 4 stroke, radial engines, and of course
the new – electric. The size greatly
varied as well, small ones you could hardly see, to the large 12 foot wingspan,
which you could definitely see.

We dropped Herb off and then headed
home.
One task which I had in mind to do
for a long time, was to correct the seat cover problem in our car. The seat covers continued to ride forward, so
hopefully I have corrected this with the winding of the strap through the seat
spring.
I had taken the front seats out to
correct the seat cover problem, so I thought I might as well clean the car as
well, it does make it a lot easier to do.
While I was cleaning the car, Pat
asked if we would like to play cards, so we dropped the car cleaning and played
a new (to us) game of cards.
While I continued cleaning the car,
Vadie made us hamburgers for supper.
Special people today – All the
people who put in their time to make Flea Markets/Farmers markets happen. There is a lot of behind the scenes work
which goes unnoticed. Thankyou to these
people.
