Sept 14th – Bismark North Dakota

Sept 14th –  Bismark North Dakota                                                           Weather – Scatt Cloud  12 C
Total Kilometers this trip – 2937.9                                                             Kilometers today –

Matt and Shelley both had to go off to work this am, and the children off to school.  I made a hearty breakfast for Vadie.

When I went out with the dogs, I noticed a leak from the bus – turned out to be water leak from under the sink, fitting for the icemaker, which also was causing the floor to warp. The water was turned off and pressure released.

Matt had told us about a farmers market in town, so we headed there as well as going to get the part required for the bus. Our standards, this was huge, equivalent to 6 city blocks, and goes on for three days. There was something there for everyone – lots of food, music, and vendors with canned and baked food, items made from steel - rough and finished, from wood  - toys, cabinets, signs etc, sewing, knitting etc.

What Vadie purchased - honey, dog sign and christmas tree

With Matt’s help we removed all items from front of bus, chairs, freezer, and flooring. To do this, we had to jack the bus up so I could get underneath to take the bolts off from the two front seats.  There were 6 pieces of flooring which were saturated, the plywood underneath was saturated as well. We used two blowers to dry the flooring, this was not a one day process.  We will be drying out the floor and hopefully we can reinstall it.

Special person today – Dave Jones for looking after our place in Kitimat, makes it so we can go without worry
