Sept 11th – Saskatoon Sask

Sept 11th –  Saskatoon Sask                                                                     Weather – Clear, Windy 11 C
Total Kilometers this trip – 2077.7                                                             Kilometers today – 24.8

Today was the day that Kevin was going to do is practical air exam, so he could drive the coach alone.  We were there ½ hour before the exam time, and we were checking things over.  His coach aired up fine and he checked to make sure the air system did not deplete as he stepped on his brakes.  Unfortunately, he could not answer some critical questions so he was asked to reschedule his exam.  He was disappointed as now he had to go get someone else in two weeks to help him take the coach down again, and redo the exam.

However, when we got back to the coach, we looked at the jacks to see if they would work.  I wanted to make sure they had fluid before jacking.  It was quite obvious that the previous owner did not know anything about the jacks as the plate that covers the filler looked like it had never been removed.  At the top of the tank, it looked like grease, which was not good.  I removed what I could, but then it was only a top layer, underneath was oil, which looked like motor oil.  Kevin will address this by flushing the system.  However, we tried the jacks one at a time and three of the four jacks worked.

Two other items, door bell got new batteries and that is now working, the other, fluorescent light over the entry way was replaced with 4 strips of while led’s, which now makes the entry way really bright.
In the afternoon we decided to dump  our motorhome tanks.  The ladies found a place at the Flying J, so that is where we went. Once this was done we decided to go for a short drive even though the winds were very blustery. I had to work to keep the coach in a straight line.

As we were driving parallel to a road about 1/8 within the Flying J, I looked over and said there is a Wanderlodge, so we turned around and headed back to the Flying J to see if we could talk to the owners. It is a  mid 90’s M380, there was no one home so we left a card with our names on it.

It was another sleepless night, Bruce is having a hard time with the movement, noises etc. Winds continue with gusts up to 55kph.

Special persons today, aunts and uncles, and cousins.  There are way to many to list and if I were to list, I would not want to miss one LOL.
