June 29th – Taber Ab to Medicine Hat Ab – Gas City Campground

June 29th – Taber Ab to Medicine Hat Ab – Gas City Campground
We drove from Tabor to Medicine Hat, approx. 140 km.  There is not much between these two places, except farmland and a few smaller communities.

We fuelled up in the Hat, both propane and diesel, so we should be good to go for many more miles. Access was easy and prices reasonable diesel 1.149 per litre and propane .90 per litre.
We got situated in the campground, this time we have water and 30 amp service so we are moving up LOL.  Showers are free here and close by.

By the days end, Joe,  Dannielle and Fiona’s family were here.  Wow, has the kids grown, the smaller ones now run and never stop talking, the older ones, well they just get bigger.  It sure is good to be with them again, as we only generally get to see them once per year.

We played carry the egg, frissbee, bocce, and croquet.  It was fun.  Oh yes, they have a lovely park here for the kids and we spent a fair bit of time there too.
As the sun was setting, we got a nice surprise – a car show,

then a 1951 pickup pulling a trailer full of pedal tractors that can be used for all ages.

Just as the Wilbor/Gibson family has adopted us, we were also adopted by a Dutch family.  Of all of our “family” they are the only ones we will not see this year, this will be the sad part of the trip.  However, they will be in our thoughts.
