We travelled from Lumby BC to Salmon Arm BC, a short
distance of 54 miles to see friends, Tim, Colleen and the girls.
We were going to stop and see Vadie’s cousin in Vernon on
Sunday June 17th but alas, where we were going to go,
there was a Father’s Day Show and Shine, and the parking lot was full. There were even some older buses there, dang,
I was too big to stop so we ended up heading to Salmon Arm.
Wow, how the kids have grown, I guess that means we just get older
too. Shaily is going to go to grade 12, Breanna is going to grade 10 and
Brooklynn is going to grade 8.
As in past years, we have parked on the east side of
Picadilly Mall, on 10th street.
There is ample parking and we are usually alone, with people walking by. In the mall parking area, one is allowed to
park and there is a dump site but no drinkable water, only water to
cleanup. I could have parked there but
then I am stuck there either by leaving early in the morning or later at night.
