June 8th to June 13th;
We are back in Chilliwack today, and again, much visiting of friends and
relatives have been taking place.
We do enjoy seeing everyone again, but it is exhausting.
The weather here has not been the best, one good day, then a couple of bad
days.
A couple we had met when we were here the first week came back to this park
before departing for home, and their overall experience of Canada was
lacklustre. They had some bad weather, Banff, Icefield Parkway and Jasper
were almost a writeoff due to the snow they kept getting. There were some
highlites in the Lilooet to Whistler area, she said that she would not come
back but he said there is so much to see and would come back. Hopefully they do
come back to see what this lovely country has to offer.
Some excellent news from my daughter:
Frank and my daughter Dannielle had a teleconference with the specialist
yesterday. She says that his blood work has been completely normal for the last
2 blood tests and if the next one comes back clear too he can go to cadet camp.
He asked about playing football and she said they will do another ultrasound of
his spleen and if they is no enlargement he can play football. Needless to say
Frank was pretty happy about the appointment. He does have to keep taking the
one medication but is comlpetely off the steroids. Since he is still not having
any symptoms she is confused by him. She said that the way his body is reacting
isn't normal and I said what teenager is normal. LOL!!
Dannielle continued on:
I know the real reason his tests are coming back so good and it is
because God is watching out for him. A week after we got back from the
Childrens Hospital, I was praying and suddenly a sense of peace came over me
and all the worry and stress was gone. In an instant I felt better and KNEW
that everything ws going to be OK. I don't know what Gods plan is for Frank,
maybe it was healing, maybe it is something else. But no matter what it is he
is being cared for by the best doctor in the universe and the only one who
knows him better than anyone else.
Tonight, June 13th, we had a wonderful dinner, spent with my sisters,
brother in law and mother. My Uncle Joe and Aunt Elaine came out for a
visit, and as they left the stars were out and it was getting cold
outside. It should be a nice day tomorrow.
We have two more days here before we head to greener pasture, will write
tomorrow what our plans are.
