June 19 – Salmon Arm BC
Yesterday, I called Eric Halland, and they were heading into
Salmon Arm, so they visited us. We had a
nice visit with Eric and Judy. During our visit, we had a torrential
downpour, I asked Eric if the windows on his car were up, and he said yup “I
think so”. After the visit, I went
outside with them to say “goodbye” only to have Eric find that his windows were
most of the way up, but oops, his sunroof was open - LOL.
We are having a good time with our friends, even though the
parents work and the kids still have to
go to school. We play Wii with
the kids, and of course Vadie enjoys
taking the girls shopping.
Tim and Colleen have a beautiful view overlooking the valley
and Shuswap Lake.
Here is a pic of all of us in front of the bus.
This evening we went down to the wharf area, and walked
along the trail. Just as it is in the
north, the lake water level is very high.
The ramp to get onto the boat dock is an uphill climb.
Again, it is time to move on to the next destination. We will be travelling from Salmon Arm BC to
Lethbridge Ab, using Hwy 1, then turning
south on Hwy 22 in Alberta, turning east onto Hwy 3 to Lethbridge.
During the next three days we will probably not have
internet connection, but Vadie will be checking email using the phone. Being
here in Canada, we have places we do not have internet or cell phone service.
