Picked up Herb today, to do our man shopping. We both needed a part, ¼ inch shoulder bolt
and nylon lock nut for Herb, and a 7/16 – 20 plug, or bolt, for myself. Herb was successful, I had to go the longer
route and have it ordered. The plug was
going to be for the HWH jack, but instead I ordered the actual switch.
Herb’s project was the closing mechanism for his bay
door. It entailed getting a piece of
plastic and then filing it down to the correct size, and then drilling it, so
the shoulder bolt would fit. Do you know
how hard it is to find a piece of nylon or plastic that is round. Well, Vadie found a tool that had such a
handle, and that is what we used.
the scraper - cut up into pieces - the white piece is the door closing roller
we ended up making three new ones
Later in the afternoon, I continued on with my LED project
in the storage bays. They are all wired,
but the LED’s have not been installed, - tomorrow maybe.
Special people today – Frank – another one of my twin grandsons. He is 16 years young, and like his brother a
very strapping, good looking lad. Both
of the twins go to Air Cadets, and have made quite a name for themselves. As with Jake, Vadie and I thankyou greatly
with all your help whenever we require it.
