Today really warmed up.
It truly was a t-shirt and shorts day.
Powell and I went to town to get the tophats for the rear
axle. They did not have the nut covers
so they ordered them and will be here by the weekend – it makes the axle look
nice again.
Powell and I went out for breakfast, picked up gas for the
generator and looked at a few car trailers.
On the way back, we noticed a burnt out motorhome being
pulled by a wrecker – sure hope everyone was okay.
Vadie did some cooking for the big dinner tonight – Prime
Rib. It sure was good, all the fixing
including a wonderful dessert table. One
thing for sure, nobody went away hungry.
The wind was strong enough this afternoon that I flew my
kite for the first time – this was fun.
I will have to get a pic of it.
We had open house, and quite a few people came through to look
at the many changes which we have done.
It was fun. Vadie and a few of
the other ladies went through the other coaches which were open.
As every evening, we stand by the fire and have chats with
different people, then went and played cards with Powell and Char.
I recently downloaded some pictures that were taken earlier,
showing you where and why we are here.
Special Person today – younger brother Jake – hmmm, he has a
few children/step children, with as many grandchildren/step grandchildren. He is retired, well he thinks he is, but he
seems to be working all the time doing odd jobs for this person or that
person. Both Jake and brother in law
Jim, have a keen interest in model trains.
I will have to go with them one day to see what the club is all about.
