It was somewhat of a lazy day today.
First we went and visited with Greg O’conner and Tim
Valequez, a cool couple whom we met six years ago at a rally in Buellton Ca.
Since we did not have a breakfast, we went out for brunch
with a number of people, these are always good, as we get to talk with people
about specifics, whether it be about our journeys or family life.
We got back in time for the start of the tech seminars at
the coaches – going around to each coach and the owner can say what was done to
the coach – upgrades, or just the maintenance.
Another potluck meal, tonight was Mexican. As usual there
was enough food to feed an army, anyone who went away hungry – they must have
missed it LOL
At supper, Rick Archie, mentioned that we were going to have
a musical horn contest. Our aim was to
play our musical horns long enough for the Park Ranger to come out – with all
of us playing the horn at the same time, and many different songs, I would have
to call it NOISE. Well, the Park Ranger
did not come, but an irate woman did, she came straight to our coach, hmmmm
well then she went to the middle where the fire was, it was her mistake to do
this – she should have called the Park Ranger.
Needless to say, she left much angrier than when she arrived – this was
the sad part. Hmm we only played the
horn for 18 minutes.
In the evening we went to a park where Bob and Arlene Lawrence
are working. They are fellow BB’ers and
work campers. The park was hosting a
fiddlers group, the group was a family, husband, wife and their four children,
they travel around the country playing music.
The children, 3 boys and a girl, range in age of middle teens to the
youngest, girl, of 7 years old. The
children are very talented, the three boys can play, mandalin, guitar, and
fiddle – wow. The young girl, pretends
to play fiddle and sings too, cute.
When we got back to the “nest” we went out to fire for more
chitchat.
Special people today – my aunts and uncles – we have many,
for all of them, however they inspired us to do things to make us better
people.
