In the morning we were unsure of what we were going to
do. Our first intention was to stay 2
nights at Canyon, but the trip around the Palo Duro Canyon was only 16
miles. There were a lot of hiking trails
which we did not know of, and the dogs were left in the coaches.
The tour around the canyon was very interesting, and we did
go check a number of things out.

Powell, Char and Bill
We then decided to make tracks and we headed south at
3pm.
We saw numerous cotton fields but according to Powell, the
cotton was too small to pick.

We drove as far as Dickens TX. Talked with the sherriff and he said we could
stay on a side road right across from the sheriffs office. There was a lot of truck traffic but other
than that we were very safe.
As I went to move the coach to the place where the sheriff
had mentioned, the coach again would not start from the front, but it did from
the rear. The switch had been replaced
at Santa Fe, so further investigation is required. I believe it to be the anti theft solenoid,
which is located near the starter. I will have to try to go on the forums to
see if anyone has a diagram of this circuit.
Special Person – My eighth grandchild – Rachelle – turning 7
on the 20th. I think she
really takes after Opa as she is a very high spirited young lady – wow does she
have lots of energy. She attends a French
immersion school, and she speaks French really well. It helps that both Fiona and Fred also speak
French around the house.
