Many of us got up early today, to watch the dawn patrol of
the balloonists. These people go up
early to see how the winds are fairing for the rest of the balloonists, yeah or
nay.
Today was a go ahead, and we watched the balloonists fill
the ballons and let them rise. I do not
know the number but there were many.
There were a lot of traditional balloons, the tear shaped ones, but then
there were many odd shaped ones, as the pics below will attest. It is unfortunate that some of the balloons
were had some technical difficulties and did not make it up.

In the infield - woodcarvers
The afternoon was a time for ourselves, We had the opportunity to go and see the balloon
museum.
Once we got back we had time to aquaint ourselves with
others and old friends, talked about
coaches and fixed a few as well. This is
the time when one knows he belongs to a really great group.
For many meals, we share in group meals, okay my mind went
blank, where each couple brings food.
Well, today, was the special day, prime rib was cooked and others had to
bring the appetizers – well what can I say about this meal, other than
extremely fillings and very tasty.
In the evening we had to sedate Bruce, our cocker spaniel as
we knew there was going to be fireworks.
The fireworks display was pretty good, this is to happen he next couple
of evenings.
In the evening, instead of cooling off, it actually got
warmer and the weather man mentioned that rain and wind was on the way.
Special People – My oldest grandchild – Tracey, her husband
Riley and my great-grandson Mathew. It
will be nice to see them again, time seems to fly by so quickly.
