Dec 12th – 18th - Queen City Az

Dec 12th – 18th   - Queen City Az
Total Kilometers this trip -  10713.0

First off, I would like to thank all of you who offered condolences.  Bruce was very special.

We had the bus torn apart to do some of the minor renovations, both Vadie and I were totally exhausted, and to top it off, I believe Vadie might had the flu as well.  Having Bruce pass away the way he did has drained us of a lot of energy.  To top it off, the weather turned cooler and has poured rain for the first three days.

Wendy came home on Thursday, Dec 13th, and has much to get ready for Christmas as well.

Fred and I continue on the projects on the coach and are making progress.
  • ·         Installed new speakers in the front of the coach (4 in all).  Sound system can be adjusted so both the driver and passenger has control of speakers in front of them (using an autoformer)
  •  ·         Installed a new subwoofer where the original TV was, then made a board and mounted the clock

  •  Installed an amplifier in behind the front drawers
  •  Installed a new equalizer on the dash under the multimedia player
  •   Installed a 40 inch LED Tv
  • ·       Installed two additional switches so the multimedia system would power the sound from the TV.
  • ·         Moved and rewired the electric controlled mirrors
Fred who is the guru of the sound system, laid it all out and we worked on it together.  During periods when he was doing his thing, I made the overhead piece and installed the bluebird clock, as well as making a drawer where the cupholders used to be.  While in Mathis, we tried to make something more workable than the original but it did not work too good.  I rerouted all of the wiring and pneumatics so a drawer could be put there.  On the outside of the drawer we installed two fold down cupholders.  It works really well, and now have another drawer to put things.

drawer pull which also has BB emblem

One night we took it off and headed to Tempe, Az.  We went out for dinner, Mediteranean restaurant, and later had dessert at an ice cream place.  We walked around the town, they really have it lit up for Christmas, and browsed through numerous stores.  It was good to get away from the work, and the coach for an evening.

One thing I must admit, it has not felt like Christmas, there are signs of Christmas but the weather that I am used to is not Christmas.
