Gosh how time is flying by.
One day seems to go right into the next day.
Happy Birthday Rick, we wish you many more good years.
The weather here is quite different than what we are used
to. It is usually still in the middle to
high 20’s when we get up and goes to the middle 30’s during the day, never
thought that I would say that I would like the heat, but I could get used to
this all year round.
Are we having fun, you bet we are, even with the few
problems that we have encountered.
On Halloween, Powell and Char's grandkid made an appearance, Char had decorated the front porch and yesterday Powell and I had carved the pumpkin.

In the past three days, I have been puttering on the
bus. On Nov. 1st, we decided
to pull the starter, thinking that it was probably the starter solenoid that
was weak when it got warm. It was a bear
to loosen the bolts, and even heavier to get down, once we got it down, with
the solenoid wire still attached we found that it was loose, it had a #10 wire or
so, with a fairly large lug and hole in the lug on a very small stud. The nut had welded to the stud so it was very
difficult to get off. I decided to get
it checked out anyhow, when I was at CC Battery in Corpus, they gave me a cart
to get it from the vehicle, only to have the cart tip over going over rough
terrain, and it damaged the bell end, so I ended up having to purchase a new
starter, putting us $250 poorer. HMMMM.
Now it is a new starter, but am sure it was the loose wire that was
causing the problem, actually I am surprised how it even started at all.
While we were in Corpus we went out for lunch as well as
toured around a bit.
In addition Vadie is having fun going to many of the
different shops, farmers markets and even going to the kids football game – how
thrilled she was hehe.
I myself have also been keeping busy with some of Powell’s
work, as well as repairing or adding other things to our coach – like a lighted
Bluebird door handle.
