Yippee, Whohoo, this morning I read an email that said we
have our “family” friends from Holland coming again next summer. This is awesome news. We have been meeting them every year, except
this year, for the past 10 years, watching the kids grow up to become young
adults.
Today we stayed an extra day at Boerne Tx, Vadie had
suggested we go into San Antonio to check out the Alamo, Zoo and Aquarium. By the time we had walked through the Alamo,
and then did the Riverwalk, we were both tired, and it had taken us almost 4
hours as well, so the zoo and aquarium lost out.

Hi Vadie
Touring the Alamo was very interesting, I had heard of the
song many times, but seeing and reading the facts of the last stand, things
started to make sense. Walking through
where the Alamo stood, where people played, ate and fought was really unique.
After walking through the Alamo, we went for a horse
carriage ride. The lady driver told us
about the hotels, restaurants, churches and other buildings, when they were
built, and how things changed over the years.
Even though things have changed, many of the buildings have been
restored, and are being used presently.
Along the Riverwalk, there are all kinds of restaurants, one
would not lack food, no matter what their taste is.
Hey Dad, seems like you are enjoying your trip.
ReplyDeleteI lost your phone number so I will wish you a Happy Birthday here. Love you lots and hope you had a great day!!!!
