Today, I had Richard, Powell’s mechanic, work on the
coach. His main objective was to set the
brakes, while I was to change the engine and generator oil, and lube the
chassis. Well, it did not quite work
like that, because he said that while he was adjusting the brake, he would lube
the chassis as well.
After we were completed with my coach, he worked on Powell’s
coach. The exhaust pipes were taken off,
cleaned and we used some high temperature silicone to see if we could stop the
exhaust leaks, it looks as if we were successful. When we pushed the throttle all the way to
the floor, it increased steadily and much quicker than in the past.
While we were at Alburquerque NM, it was noticed that the
coolant hoses to Powell’s generator was in poor shape, so with Richard’s help,
all of the hoses were removed, hopefully they will be put on tomorrow.
Later in the afternoon, we serviced some more of Powell’s
equipment.
While Powell and I were busy, Char and Vadie went to a
Garden Group meeting in the afternoon – Vadie
found it somewhat interesting –
she learned a lot about the growing seasons that goes on here in the south.
