Last night was the day we changed the clock back, that meant we had an extra hour sleep, we went to bed early, but somehow, it still seemed that we did not get enough sleep – HMMMM how does that work.

Powell got up at 7:30am, he thought it was 6:30am but we went for breakfast anyway, alas, to find the other guys and ladies there as well.  After breakfast we went to a friend’s house called Ken, he has numerous old cars such as Packards, Rolls Royce, Ambassador, Fords, Chevrolets, Oldsmobiles, Buicks and a Tucker.  He also has some older trucks, Rio, International COE, which has been changed into a pickup truck with a 5.9l Cummins engine – all of these were very nice vehicles.

Char and Vadie went to church and we worked on Powell’s bus a little, then met them at Van’s for lunch.
After lunch we headed out to look at a job for Powell, then headed into Corpus Christie mainly to take a tour of the USS Lexington – an older aircraft carrier which has been turned into a museum.

We toured Corpus Christie a little bit and also did a little bit of shopping, stopping at the Sears store to pick up a socket which I had misplaced as well as buying some drill bits.

We had supper at Luby’s, a cafeteria style restaurant, the food tasted very good.

We headed home and as the norm in the evening, we played cards.
