As on most mornings, Powell and I went out for breakfast.  After breakfast we drove to Beeville to pick up a part for his hay bailer.  Yesterday the top roller bearing had overheated and seized.

Once we got the bearing, putting it in did take some ingenuity but with the help of two forklifts, Powell, Jose and I managed to get it in, taking us just over 2 hours.

He had the field almost completed, so it was nice that he could check the bailer out, he picked up another four bales.

While we were working hard, the ladies were also working hard.  They went to two markets, the yuletide and farmers.  Vadie mentioned that the yuletide was mainly made up with commercial business and did not enjoy that as much, but the farmers market really interested her.

In the afternoon, we headed to George West, a small community north of Mathis, it was Storytell Festival.  There was food, market sales, travelling museum, petting zoo, kids rides and 4 different tents with people either telling stories or singing music.

Powell had decided to take the coach up to check it out.  On startup, since it was smoking pretty good, I checked the exhaust system, and sure enough there are a few more leaks, we will attend to them in the next day or so.  Two other items which we repaired, pyrometer – wiring problem, and transmission retarder temp – new sender, both worked as it should on the drive.  Powell drove there and I drove it home.

In the evening, Powell and Char had to go to a shower reception, Vadie and I took the dogs out and spent time with them.
The weather started getting worse with big thunderclouds, we had lightning and thunder but no rain or hail, not so east of us near Corpus Christie, they had it all.
We stood outside our coach and watched the thunderstorm in the distance, wow what a site to see.

Powell had wished it rained here though, as they have had a drought for almost two years.
