As it has been for the past weeks, the weather continues to stay very nice, sometimes warmer than others, and also very humid at times, but it is nice.

On Nov. 26th we drove back from Mustang Island to Mathis Tx, the time although short on Mustang Island, this is definitely a place where we would like to stay for a week or so.

As typical with these Bluebirds, always something seems to go wrong with them.  On the island, Powell's surge protector quit, he will have to send it back for repair.

Over the next few days, Powell had to do a few more jobs of his own, while he was gone I tinkered with the coach.
One thing which Powell had to do was milk a cow, because her tits were too large and the calf could not suck on them.  This was very interesting, as the cow is not used to getting milked by humans and she was really ornery.  We managed though, and got milk, put it into a bottle and fed the calf.  Another first LOL.

On the 27th, Vadie took Char on an all day shopping exursion - both were very sore at the end of the day, but Char moreso.  They went into thrift stores, hobby stores, electronic stores and had a really good time.  Oh yes, she did spend some money.  Christmas presents were bought as well as more items for the pottery.

On the 28th, it was generally a quiet day, Powell was caught up on his chores, although he had one worker getting hay out of a field, and he had some problems which Powell had to rectify.

I purchased a storage pod for on top of the coach, so Vadie can purchase some more items LOL.
It was installed and things went easy.

Powell's mechanic, Richard, also removed and reinstalled a new hose on the transmission which was leaking.

Powell and I also completed installing the cup holder drawer in the front of the coach.

For supper, we went to Odem, met John and Jackie and had a wonderful supper - forget the name of the restaurant though LOL.

I made breakfast for all this morning, French toast, bacon, and eggs.

We went for a walk along the beach, the dogs loved it, chasing the birds, and getting a little wet, not too much though LOL.  It did not take long for them to dry off.

After lunch we headed to Port Aransas, crossed on the ferry and then headed to Rockport after stopping at a couple of flea markets.  In Rockport we went through a number of museums/art galleries and toured the area.

Key Allergro – million dollar mansions with both 3 – 5 car garages and boat slips right outside their homes
Homes on concrete or old telephone pole stilts – to help get rid of the water during hurricane season.
Rockport  - the largest crab
Liferafts for the numerous oil platforms in the gulf.

Vadie made a wonderful BBQ’d chicken dinner for supper.  We had dinner outside listening to the waves crash against the shore.

The weather continues to be extremely nice for us.  Today the temperature was moderate, about 22C and has not cooled down this evening, it is to stay humid and warm 18 C all evening.  I have to admit that this is very difficult for us -  NOT.

Before heading to Mustang Island, I had to do three small jobs, as the parts did not come in until this morning.  I had to installed temperature gauges for transmission and engine temp – they both work fine now, as well as installation of the sender for engine temp.

When I started the coach, as usual I check for leaks and I also found  a  leak from a hose on the transmission.  It was determined that the hose would be okay for this trip so off we travelled to Mustang Island.
we were following Powell and Char
Mustang Island is on the Gulf of Mexico, and we stayed at a State Park there, minutes from the Gulf.
After we got all settled in, we drove along the beach, many miles – and in the Gulf, one thing there were numerous of – drilling platforms.

We drove into Port Aransas, but did not cross on the ferry to the mainland.

For supper we went to  Crazy Cajun restaurant – dinner is served on the table – no plates – what do you think the food inspector in Canada would say about that.  Yup, a full meal deal, of potatoes, corn, and crab, shrimp and sausage, all put in the middle of the table,  and the one who eats the fastest gets the moistest LOL.

Today was a do it all kind of day.
We moved equipment back home, picked up food for bulls, moved the cows to different field as they had eaten the field clean.
We completed the job of installing the shroud for the air conditioner, and we also installed the additional hose holder underneath the coach.

Today, we also had some lightning and RAIN, but it sure did not add up to much.  However, we were installing the hose holder, and our shirts got wet, but that was all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you,
Today, was somewhat of a relaxing day.

A great Thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all the trimmings was prepared mainly by Char, but helped by Vadie, Kellie, Char’s daughter, Jackie and Glennis – Char’s friends.  Not only the great turkey dinner, but the dessert of black bottom pumpkin pie (chocolate on bottom) and pecan pie (one regular and one rum).  I had to try all of these of course, and I cannot really decide which was the best.

All afternoon, we all wanted to take a fiesta.

I did manage however to get ontop of the coach to check and repair the air conditioner shroud.  It was broken by the previous owner and was in need of repair, as I seen it bounce around in the wind coming down.

For supper we ate left overs, and as many of us know, leftovers taste twice as good as the original meal, hmmm how is that possible.

John, Jackie’s husband, who is a real handyman around the house, I asked if he could make/repair a drawer for us in the bus.  This is probably one of the few things that I cannot do with the tools I have available, and Powell does not have them either.
The cupholders in the front of the coach, has been repaired numerous times, and finally the wood is totally split.  This will be modified using a drawer instead of pullouts.  We also mentioned that there is no rush but we intend to leave on Monday LOL.

I got belated birthday wishes from my mother and sisters – thanks to all.
