We said our goodbye to Tom, as Doreen had not made it home yet.

First thing we did on the way going out of town was to fill the propane tank, we should now be set for the trip home.

The trip was uneventful, except for the Brake Buddy which seems to continue to give us trouble setting up.  However, the breakaway still works, as does the lights.
One other problem, the hazard lights on the coach stopped working again – dang, it is always something LOL.

 heading to Boulder City

view of Hoover Dam from Bridge

As we crossed the bridge where spectators can take pics of the Hoover Dam, we played the musical horn, many people were giving us the thumbs up or cheering as we went by – cool.

We arrived at the Angelino’s place, and Donna showed us where we could park, wow, nice spot with full hookups, this is really cool.

Donna made us a very delicious dinner, with a very yummy dessert.

Off to bed as tomorrow will be a big day..

Special People today –Henry and Diane Penner - while we lived in Terrace, Diane was the caller at the square dance group.  She did an awesome job, and attracted many who liked to dance.  We have sort of lost contact with them, but will certainly look them up when we get back home.

Took Jake to have his paw looked at – all is well, no new bandage but can wash him now, yippee.

Joe and Pat arrived, as did Bob and Yvonne, but Joe was unable to copy the chip because it was in a plastic sleeve which would not allow him  to insert it into his machine.  Joe will see if he can find a cord for it so it can be done.

Joe, Pat, Tom, Vadie and I went out for lunch at the Golden Corral, I must say the food tasted good and the price was right.  We certainly did not have to eat supper after a great meal like that for lunch.

We were making our plans, and were going to stay in Boulder City, then out of the blue I get an email from Terry Angelino, and he invited us to stay in Overton Nv, to which we are going to do.  This will be the home spot to go see Vegas, Hoover Dam, and the state parks around there.

We played a card game with Tom called UNO, it was interesting, I was losing, but I made up ground quickly and turned the tables to which I won, YIPPEE.

Special people today – Donna Serneck and Terry Angelino, for inviting us to stay at their place.  This was quite unexpected, will have to find out how this all came to be.

Fixed the bus water leak and did some maintenance on the coach.

I helped Tom out with getting some things done on his coach as well, like installing an outside door for the refridgerator.

Special People today – Tom and Doreen Caffrey – busnuts which we met a number of years ago.  They have been very helpful over the years, and again for allowing us to stay with you.  It sure is great to see them again.

First, I had some work to do on the coach, as did Tom.

I repaired the lighting to the car, two ground points and a wire had been pulled out.  I also took a close look at the coolant leak, and it is the pipe which is weeping, so I purchased some JB weld to put on it.  Hopefully that will do the trick.

We headed out to Chloride Az, a quaint place.  The pics will show  why.

In the mountain behind Chloride there are paintings and writings on the rocks. – Very interesting.

There were also some very interesting buildings.  This is a must see town.

After we left Chloride we headed to Oatman, Az, a town that will not die, on Route 66.  It is hanging there with a thread.  There are a few different ways of getting there, and we took Silver Spur Road.  This road is gravel, not too bad a shape but very scenic.

 many more miles to go

We arrived at Oatman, and only way to express this town, you have to see it.

After going through the town, we drove Route 66 back to Kingman, again, the road is not for the faint of heart, not for big rigs, a twisty, windy road, with large switchbacks, which was paved but in okay shape.  Again, very scenic drive.

It was a fun day, but long, as the dirt road took much longer than we had expected.

By the time we had finished dinner and rested a short while, it was bed time.

Special Person Today – Herb and Jody Hood – what a couple from Kansas.  They are so much fun and we enjoyed their company immensely.  Getting a chance to work on their coach gave me insight and knowledge of the newer coach.  Safe travels you two.
